It is really something to sing and dance about.
Dig up those old bones and get them dancing!

Change the two party system
so people against something like abortion
but for something like environmental protection never again get bigger and badder storms
and two bankrupting wars instead.

Wa21-2 John Gasteneys rector of Cranweys shown by Visitation as a generation earlier
Wa23-2 Sir William Gastneys or Gastneis 2nd
Visitation shows this branch separately from the above branch, apparently not recognising or disputing? that this Sir William was younger brother of the above Sir William as reported by BEB1841.
Wa23-2-1 Edmond Gastneis of Totwick a 1310
-1 Sir Hardolphe Gastneis a 1338 of Headon Notts

-2 Sir Edmond Gastneys or Wastneis
BEB1841 reports Sir Edmond as great-grandfather of John of Headon. Visitation shows him as father of Edmond, father of John, father of William and then, in a separate section, shows descent from John of Headon. For the time being John of Headon is shown as 2nd cousin of the William shown in the first section of the Visitation record as presumption. The connection may, however, be over Wa25-2 if the pedigree on the website quoted there is all correct.

Wa25-2 Jeffrey Gasteney of Tixall reported by "Sir Hardolph Wastneys, Knight, descendant of this Sir William, resided at Headon in Notts, and was made a baronet. His great grandson Sir Hardolph, fourth baronet, died about the year 1760, and was the last of the name. Rose de Wasteneys, who sold Tixall to Sir Thomas Littleton, was descended from Paganus de Wasteneys, son of Jeffrey, and probably grandson of Sir Philip above-mentioned."

A Sir Hardolph Wastneis or Wastneys, Sheriff of Nottinghmashire, 1st Bart of Headon a 1614
Visitation shows Sir Hardolph's wife as Jane, dau of John Delabogs of Misterton but indicates by showing her in brackets that the Harleian Society shows her as Jane, dau of Jervas Eyre of Keyton. The latter as as given in BEB1841 seems correct.
