but for something like environmental protection never again get bigger and badder storms
and two bankrupting wars instead.

Visitation identifies George's wife as Elizabeth, dau of Sir John Sherrington of London. Shaw identifies her as dau of Sir John Sheffington of Fisherwick but the Skeffington records indicate that she was ...

(a) Sir Henry Griffith, 1st Bart of Burton Agnes (Yorkshire), Sheriff (b c1557, a 1627)
BEB1841 (Griffith of Burton Agnes) suggests that Sir Henry married Mary, dau of Sir Henry Willoughby (Bart of Risley) who was mother of Henry & Frances. Shaw, supported by TCB (vol I, Griffith) & Visitation, reports that he married Elizabeth Throgmorton who was mother of his children. Noting the dates, whilst noting that Mary may have been a wife of his son, we presume to show him married twice as follows:.
m1 (18.02.1583) Elizabeth Throgmorton (dau of Thomas Throckmorton of Warwickshire)

m2 Henry Brooke
(C)+ other isssue (dsp) - John, Margaret
(2) Agnes Griffith
Shaw shows an Agnes of this generation as married first to Sir John Egerton of Wrinehill and then to Henry Brooke but mentions no children for the next generation. Visitation shows Agnes of this generation as married to Sir Gervase Clifton and an Anne of the next generation as married to John Egerton of Moringhill. We presume that there has been confusion between Agneses/Annes of two generations and, noting @@ above, show this Agnes as married to ...
